This sculpture was my first attempt at sculpting a bust. Previously my only experience sculpting has been ships, horses and birds. In the case of this sculpture I was attempting to capture the features of Jean-Pierre Linois from my Captain Alonzo Johnson series of novels. See pictures below of how the sculpture looked before cracks developed during the hardening stage. The cracks were filled in with apoxie and allowed to harden before the entire sculpture was painted with white acrylic.
